It is made by mixing various seasonings with flour that is best suited for chicken dishes.
Using fried chicken powder mixed with water
- Prepare one chicken (about 1.5kg), 200g of Ottogi chicken frying powder, Ottogi cooking oil, and 200mL (1 cup) of cold water.
- Cut the prepared chicken into appropriate sizes, soak in cold water to remove enough blood, then wash thoroughly and drain.
- Put 200g of Ottogi chicken frying powder and 200mL (1 cup) of cold water into the batter bowl, stir to remove any large lumps, and then spread the batter evenly over the drained chicken. *Kneading it with ice water makes the fried chicken even crisper.
- When the cooking oil is heated to 338~356°F (170~180°C), add the chicken coated in chicken batter and fry for 8 to 10 minutes.
Using only fried chicken powder
- Prepare one chicken (about 1.5kg), 200g of Ottogi chicken frying powder, and Ottogi cooking oil.
- Cut the prepared chicken into appropriate sizes, soak in cold water to remove enough blood, then wash thoroughly and drain.
- Cover the drained chicken evenly with Ottogi fried chicken powder and leave to marinate at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- When the cooking oil is heated to 338~356°F (170~180°C), add the chicken coated in chicken powder and fry for 8 to 10 minutes.
